Troy please repost the article, I did not have a chance to research it.
(Please excuse my layman's terms)
From what I gather there are two thoughts on the definition of DOMINANT
1) a trait that overtakes another trait 1st generation. 100% of offspring follow the dominant trait.
2) A trait that when crossed with another trait, produces 50%
offspring looking identical to it and the other offspring looking like the other parent.
For INCOMPLETE DOMINANT
a mixture of two traits expressed in the 1st generation. percentages not given
For CODOMINANT
2 distinctly different traits expressed at the same time. Not a mix like the incomplete dominant trait. percentages not given.
Again this is not the definition scale that we tend to follow in the reptile world, just what I have found researching the topic. ----- Thank you,
Kevin Rhodes
