I always thought that granite was a dominant mutation and both of the parents do not display the granite phenotype. Not to mention, it looks like most of them seem to have some granite characteristics. If this was a simple recessive combo that produced granites I would think that fewer of the clutch would have displayed the trait. I know that het to het can lead to all kinds of ratios but on average 1/4 end up with the trait. Is there a simple recessive line of granite out there? [ Hide Replies ]
