Politics should be irrelevant to science. As far as Reed and Rodda, with all due respect, I think it's incredibly naive to treat these two guys as "rogue" scientists who were able to dupe the entire Dept. of Interior. If the Dept. of Interior were not corrupt, why did Mr. Salazar continue the process of the Lacey Act listing AFTER most of the Everglades pythons were wiped out during the 10 day cold snap??? Why are the SREL scientists (who get funding from the DOI and are cronies of Reed and Rodda) still saying more funds are needed to study the Burm expansion issue, even after ALL their pythons died in an artificial environment they designed to do everything possible to HELP the pythons survive the cold? Did you read the slanted report on the cold snap by the academics? Reed and at least one of the SREL guys were listed as authors, and Rodda's work was referenced multiple times. | ||
