I didn't brumate last winter as we had an unusually long and cold winter and my Westerns seemed no worse for the wear because of it. I also had a fairly typical breeding season, in fact a little bit better than last years. I haven't determined whether or not I'm going to brumate this year or not because it appears that I still have several gravid females this late in the season.
