Doug, I couldn't agree more.

I've always disapproved of such antics, and now it has become commonplace on those shows.

On a good note, I see kids in my son's school react to reptiles very positively. Either they like them or they don't, but those that don't are not out to harm them either. This is a good trend, and there may be a number of factors involved, but certainly education has been key. (By stark contrast, when I was a kid some kids were very cruel to reptiles..).

Then these shows come along and try to make us stupid again. Although, Jersey Shore is the best show on TV, lol.
