Hey Dave, grats on another beautiful litter. I use oblong water dishes in most of my Brazilian Rainbow Boa cages. In addition to reducing the drowning hazard to babies, the elongated shape has more surface area than other water bowls. The extra surface area allows more water to evaporate, helping maintain the high humidity required for BRBs.
