Not surprising. The point should be made loud and clear that these misguided do-gooders do more harm than good.
The amount of money thrown at the problem (as in their exorbitant figures given to the media for care costs) has absolutely nothing to do with the outcome.

It is obvious and can be demonstrated these people are simply unqualified to take upon themselves the task they have voluntarily chosen. Their outrageous track record proves this time and time again.

Most experienced herpers do an outstanding job successfully maintaining and breeding these animals on a pittance, compared. It's all a matter of competency, and NOT cost!

There is also the real possibility someone is skimming some real cash into their pockets with inflated numbers and kickbacks. Someone should seriously look into that possibility.
