I don;'t have a huge number of years of experience with F/T (I raise most of my own feeders) and the experience I do have is with sub 1 year old babies.
I did find last year that many would readily take F/T. I also found that many would not take them unless they were nice and toasty. There were also several that would only take them sometimes and yes, a few (~5 - 10 %)that simply refused them every time. Was not a huge deal for me since I was supplementing my live with F/T so I fed F/T first, then gave the DNF's a live hopper and most of the time they ate.
I have not gone through the effort to convert any stubborn ones so can't help there. ----- Thanks,
Dave Colling
