Found this DOA Schott's Whipsake (Masticophis s. schotti) within a mile of the house today. Never even seen one before. Beautiful animal. Not far from that was a very flat juvenile Western Coachwhip.

Brings to mind an old photo from just about a year ago. Here it is for an encore presentation.

And another one just for good measure.
