I personally think that corn snakes are great ambassadors for snakes. They were very forgiving of my novice mistakes and they have never made me nervous handling them. i was scared to get bitten as a kid. The more i got bit the more that fear went away. Even today though the psychological impact of an adult kingsnake wrapping around your wrist and chewing on your hand and attempting to swallow your fingers gives me that old chill i remember as a kid. Definitely not a good story for a kid to run home and tell some uptight parent!
