What will become of all lines of caramels, axanthics, albinos, g-stripes, and mystics? Certainly all these morphs are beautiful no matter what line and they make awesome combos and projects but each of these morphs that I have listed have counterparts that pick up where they leave of as far as birth defects, maintaining color or popularity. As far as caramels, as beautiful as they are, are born with kinks and for that reason I believe their value is decreasing gradually especially with its counterpart in the market now which is the ultramel. With the different lines of axanthic and its reputation as "browning out", a person or the market could switch to its counterpart which grows into black and grey, which many hobbyist seek, the desert ghost. The original T- albino is also a hobbyist's favorite and will always be in many collectors collections but the lavender albino absolutely glows as an adult when compared to a "regular" albino. Genetic stripes in the market recently, have also seemed to plummet as far as its value. It technically does not have a counterpart but the super stripe certainly comes to mind when thinking of a mind blowing striped ball. An investment in a specter goes a long way I suppose. When it comes to mystics and phantoms, they are almost identical to the beginner hobbyist's eye but when it comes to their value as a base morph and combo's, the difference is obvious not to mention their homozygous form. Another case for this scenario could be made with toffees and bananas but that debate or comparison could not be made by the common hobbyist since their value reflects it's buyers' status as a collector. Of course it's all up to personal preference but choosing one over another could mean a big difference from a investment stand point $$$. They are all beautiful balls and I wouldn't mind having them all of course but patience and a well thought out investment plan is key in this hobby and business.
