Unfortunatly that person always incorrectly advertises his animals as Bulls when they are Sonorans- and frankly I love Sonorans so would and am still VERY interested in them, just dont have enough space. There is nothing bad by calling those beautiful Christmas Mtn. animals Sonorans- it wont change their desirability at all. However, to answer your question- Bulls and Sonorans are both P. cantentifer, yet different subspecies that frequently intergrade along their bordering ranges. Sonorans tend to be smaller, less bulky, and have more reddish saddles toward the rear, than Bulls (at least with the ones I have seen and kept). The saddles near the neck tend not to be solid brown or reddish as in bulls, and their heads are a bit narrower than bulls and have some different scale counts. When you put the two side by side- it is easier to tell the differences. Like you I asked that very same question a while back about the differences between Sonorans and TX Bulls, yet over time spent looking at many pictures and any live animals I could, the differences became very clear, and now I have a very easy time telling them apart and spotting a Sonoran.
