Where did you get 10 years ago? I said a little over a generation ago. Since you're not familiar with what the Republican President of the United States did back then, your criticism of him "Going against what conservatism means" is simply invalid. You're admitting ignorance to a topic, what conservatives stood for 40 years ago, and applying today's more radicalized version of conservatism as the standard to judge the very thing you aren't familiar with.
Continue with your insults towards me though if it makes you feel better about yourself.
>>10 yrs ago was Nixon ? Kennedy did the same thing to Carter. Im not so sure that Nixon wanted Health univ health care, but for now I will take your word for it. Kennedy wanted universal health care as long as he got credit for it. My insult stands. You are proving my point. Kennedy is the one who cared so deeply for the common man, and supported universal health care in his final years when it was going to be his legacy. Nixon went against what conservatism truly means, and stood up for what he beieves was right with universal health care. Doesnt sound like a politician looking for re election to me. You buried yourself again with your own words young boy. Nixon was wrong, just like many people are wrong. Obviously Nixon wasnt too concerned about getting re elected when he chose to support univ healt care.
