As for greenish rat snakes, they have been recognized as a naturally occurring intergrade along the mixing zone of obsoleta and quadrivittata for at least 35 years based on the 1975 reprint of Conant's Eastern Reptiles and Amphibians. I no longer have my first edition of this book from 1958, but I can say with a good deal of certainty that it contained the same information. | ||
