>>"This is not a fight you have to fight as an individual."

Obviously most of what Colin said is accurate and true. I'm as frustrated as anyone at the "all talk, no action" attitude shown by a lot of herp owners. However, I fundamentally disagree with the above statement. In fact, imo, we HAVE TO FIGHT as individuals to even have a remote chance at stopping the attacks on our freedoms and liberties. I think what a lot of folks are missing is that reptile ownership, while extremely important to us, is something that will be eliminated anyway if we don't fundamentally change our corrupt government. If the government causes the dollar to collapse, we won't be able to afford basic necessities, much less reptiles. If the government causes wholesale feed prices to go up, we won't be able to afford feeder rodents. And on and on. In other words, we have to get back to a "we the people" government, not a "we this special interest dot org, and we this special interest dot org" government. Playing politics and back room dealings won't work, it will, at best, lead to the very compromises Colin is against. I guess the question comes down to this - can we really fight "special interests" by becoming a "special interest?" Imo, no. The game is rigged so we can't win. We have to change the game. That might be a pipe dream as well, but imo it's the only option.

Thanks,
Ed
