Yes, we will need lots of money. This is why we have to set it up so its mandatory, force peoples hand. We need to get as many of the big players involved as possible. We also need as many of the thousands of backyard and hobbyist breeders as we can get too. Then just go for it.
I think one of the surest ways to lose this fight is for hobbyists and breeders not to participate or for them to stab us in the back. I know many hobbyists who sell out the industry by butt kissing regulatory agencies, their policies, academics and their agenda and bad mouthing segments of the industry. This is all while they are doing the things they bad mouth...they are known as herpocrites.
Some folks are just ignorant to the hard realities. They support policies they think are good for the animals when in fact they are not. These folks need to be educated. I tried to educate here in Texas only to have the herpocrites stab me in the back.
Everybody who collects, keeps, breeds and sells herps must particiapte. If we lose this fight it will be because of complacent, back stabbing or ignorant breeders and hobbyists.
