I bred my blonde male trans pecos to a supposed 100% het blonde female. Of the 8 good eggs seven have hatched so far and not one of them is blonde.



Would other breeders think that this would indicate that the female was not actually a het? I know the odds are far below 1% that this would happen.



And also what is the appropriate response with which to contact the breeder? I like to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume a mix up and not a lie, at least to start with.



How can a breeder rectify my years of raising and care for the "het" as well as the financial aspects of the failed clutch? Others may have had this experience and I would like to know what solutions they came up with to rectify similar problems.



I just do not want my proposed solution to be too demanding or to seem outrageous but my clutch is worth far less and the snake was sold to me under false pretenses. The years of husbandry, cost of the snake, and loss of income on the clutch must add up to account for something. That is of course assuming the breeder is not a scummy guy and is willing to make things right.



Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated. And I will not reveal the breeder to anyone, so do not ask. This forum is not for trash talking of slandering anyone and I would like to respect that.
