Tease feed tails multiple times a week for several weeks till they are large enough to take the smallest pinks you've got. I use the middle third of an adult tail. The small end is dipped in a mix of RepCal and HerpVite and the large end is dipped in clean tap water as a lubricant. @ twice a week this can take as little as 5 weeks. Last years animals were stubborn. This year they did really well. A lot depends on how small they hatch out.



In my experience thin females have fewer but larger eggs while heavier females have a lot of small ones. When dealing with animals that require a lot of attention to get started, high production is not always a good thing. The brood I'm working with now was a clutch of ten which is well above my average clutch size of ~6 eggs hence they were smaller and took more time to get rolling.
