I brumated my 09 bulls last winter so they would not lose weight. This year when they went off feed again I have done the same. I also am brumating my two trios of 08 and 09 pyros and will soon brumate my baby pyros as well, since they too have gone off feed for the winter.



For non breeders my main reason for brumation is to conserve body mass. If they do not eat because of seasonal demands but can't get to cooler temperatures they tend to lose too much weight.
