I have checked my county ordinances and would require just a simple business license. Where I live is zoned agricultural so if I called my snakes cows or chickens I wouldn't even need that! LOL!



No license shall be required for:

A.

Agricultural or viticultural occupations or for the operation of stock, dairy or poultry farms;



It is important to investigate the ordinances of any area one plans to buy property in or is thinking of opening a business in. I am guessing Isis started out as a small hobbyist and never gave a worry to any licenses, permits, or ordinances against and as the years rolled by the hobby became a business, and they had the misfortune to be attacked by a hostile neighbor who targeted their vulnerability.
