I have found that soaking isn't half as effective as a good spraying down of tap watter. I spray down my snakes a few days or so before they are going to shed.

A good idea for taking eye caps off is to spray down the snake's head with a huge amount of water then 5 five minutes later come back and spray it down again. Take a pillow case and get it soaking wet with warm water. Ring out the pillow case and place the wet snake inside of the wet pillow case. As the snake moves around inside the case the mild abrasive action between the snake's eye and the wet cloth will rub off the eye caplit.

Here is a video I have on youtube that hopefully help you from having this problem again. Remember when you soak your snakes in a tub the head and especially the eyes stay out of the water.

I hope you're all having a great season.
