RE: heat cable

I've had the opposite results of the other posters. I currently use heat cable (in my versa rack) and used it in half of my personally built racks. I've never had a cable go bad, and found it to a very good job keeping things warm. Since I switched completely over to racks I don't even use an ambient room heater which is nice.
