The whole idea of people releasing their pets...is a fabrication.

The feral Burmese Pythons in Florida were not caused by irresponsible pet owners releasing their unmanageable pets. That whole concept was a creation of the animal rights extremists. This propaganda was part of their campaign to give pet owners a black eye.

The origin of the Burmese Python population has been scientifically confirmed.
With the aid of the information (garnered from in USFWS Records, CITES Import Paperwork and DNA evidence), the population of feral Burmese Pythons in Florida was shown to have been caused by a natural disaster. The damage caused from Hurricane Andrew to an import facility is the origin of the Burmese Python population.
Before anyone starts casting any blame toward importers...we must consider that similar damage could have easily happened to a zoological exhibit, scientific research facility or animal rescue sanctuary.

It is interesting to note that we see little more than lies, finger pointing, and insane proposals for economically devastating legislation from the animal extremists.
I have not seen them working on REAL solutions to the existing problem in Florida.
Come to think of it...I believe it was individuals from the reptile industry who really stepped up to address the situation. People like Greg Graziani, Michael Cole and Sean Heflick were the citizens on the front lines in Florida.
Dave and Tracy Barker published an incredible amount of information to help educate people about the FACTS.
The information they provided should be what is used to create real solutions to the problem in Florida....not the rubbish that Rodda and Reed invented.
Each State should be able to make logical decisions about what is needed to protect their environment, based on ACTUAL climate conditions....rather than crazy predictions.
What is happening in Ohio is a shame. It is corruption, plain and simple.
