I just now saw that I over-looked one of your questions by mistake ..LOL!
Well, mine sure did, but Shannon could best answer how these particular clutches took to them out of the egg. I would assume they really go for tiny lizards and such in their native habitat just like many others also do. Mine grabbed their pinks with vigor with zero hesitation. This definitely made the "Mongster" VERY happy too..LOL!
They seem to be a good bit smaller than say Hondos and other Latin milks as hatchlings however, so big pinks and peach fuzzies are out of the question with these guys until they get a bit older. Adults are said to get around maybe 36 to 42 inches. But it's not like there are lots of examples around to compare to. Heck, I've only ever seen a few photos of them in very limited literature over the years, some pure forms, and a few intergrades with neighboring subspecies . They are just that rare and uncommon.
