I think all the milk subspecies do well in tubs. From what I've kept, Garter Snakes and Water Snakes do best in a glass tank, preferably with a "semi-naturalistic" setup. I also kept the larger Rat Snake types in 29 gallon or 55 gallon aquariums - most like to climb and don't mind hanging out in the open.
I've tried keeping Corns, Kings and Pine Snakes in semi-natural setups, but they mainly stay hidden, which indicates to me that they do just fine in tubs. Most wild Kings and Milks spend the majority of their time underground, for this reason I think they are well suited for tubs.
