Plain and simple. If the meristics add up, then go with the flow. I think the saving grace with many of the mixed up breedings you are refering to back in the day occurred with "subspecies" that were at least close in phenotype to each other to some degree to produce what we know of today as the hobby hondo. The pair I have today and the ones I see at shows today look pretty much like the one I first got in 1995. Hondos have lucked out from this perspective. Unfortunately, sinaloans have not from what I see on the market today compared to the animals I first laid eyes on in the mid-90s! | ||
