Posted by: ectimaeus at Sat Feb 12 10:22:21 2011 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by ectimaeus ] I do not know if it has ever actually been documented, but there is a theory out there that some of the wild Trans Pecos Ratsnake's eggs over winter and hatch in the spring. I know that I have found several babies in the spring that still show very definite umbilicle scars and appear to still have the yolk sack visible. If that is so, then some of the incubation periods would be well in excess of 100 days depending on the winter. Anybody else think this??? | ||
