I'll have an article in the May 2011 issue of Reptiles Magazine on the care and breeding of black milk snakes. I actually wrote the article about two or three years ago and they have been sitting on it for a while. All the photos in the magazine are of my stock and hatchlings. The article covers the basics of black milk snake care and breeding (which for those of you who already own them know it is pretty easy) from my own experience and I interviewed Alan Kardon from San Antonio Zoo about the snakes he helped introduce to the herpkeeper world.

One point I make in the article that might spur some debate is this: I think black milks are the perfect pet snake. Size, ease of feeding, super calm demeanors and the ability to thrive at room temperature, to me, make them unequaled in the pet snake world.

If you don't subscribe to Reptiles you can pick up the magazine at any Petco or Petsmart.

This is the first of two articles I'll have in Reptiles this year. In September, they'll publish my article on disaster preparedness for reptile keepers. Several folks on this forum helped me out with that article so you'll see some familiar names in that article as well.
