I know it is a bit early, but is anyone going to the Omaha Expo on Apr 17th? I would like for us to get a record turn out this year to help quash a bill the state legislature is trying to move about exotic species.

I'm hoping the more people show up it will prove that, of so many people who own reptiles and other exotic species, there are very very few who cause any problems. Of course, I realize too that it could work against us. I am hedging my bets against not since money and businesses are involved.
Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of species on the bill that need to be either banned from ownership or regulated, such as chimps, lions and tigers, grizzlies, mongooses (mongeese?), etc. I just don't think animals like chinchillas and cavies are a danger to our populous or our ecosystems. I could argue green iguanas either way (yes, they will be banned/regulated if this passes).
Anyways, rant over for now. ----- Lincoln, NE 0.1 Pastel, 1.0 Pastel het Pied, 0.1 Pied, 0.1 Cinn, 1.0 Black Pewter, 1.0 Woma (hidden gene?), 0.1 Yellowbelly 2.1 Normals, 1.0 Thayeri, 0.1 Thayeri X Alterna, 0.1 Whitesided P. catenifer sayi, 0.1 crazy cat, 1.0 husband
