First question. I've read that when you're feeding F/T after thawing you shouldn't leave the rodent under the heat lamp too long cause. Tonight while I was heating the rodents up I had a fire call I had to goto and when I had gotten back the rodents had been under the heat lamp for about a half hour. I didn't notice how warm the rodents were until I had picked one up with some guts hanging out. The guts were warm enough for me to notice, but the rodent itself didn't feel unusually warm. I threw that rodent away and thawed out another one for that snake, but fed the rest that didn't have the guts hanging out to the snakes. My question is, Is the issue with feeding over heated rodents to snakes a health issue or is it an issue with the animals taking the food? Is there anything for me to worry? None of the rodents were more than slightly warm to touch.

Second Question: I have a pinstripe female that I just got two weeks that is 1yr 7mo old. She's only eaten live here entire life and I want to switch her to F/T. I fed her F/T last week and she ate. Tonight though she showed almost zero interest in the rodent. My question on this topic is: How many weeks should I try to get her to take the F/T before I go get her a live meal? and until I get her to take F/T how many meals in a row is it safe for her to skip before I need to get her a live rodent again? I'm not freaking out or overly worried I understand switching can always be a work in progress. I just want to make sure I'm doing the best I can.
