I managed to get there for a few hours yesterday... better show than usual, still way too many Ball Pythons but a diverse selection of colubrids as well… including a couple of tables offering milks from Cherry County, did a quick take of the vendors to make sure it wasn’t Cole or Dell behind the table … One vendor had an adult Yellow Tailed Cribo which I managed to get my hands on, first time I've ever seen one... a very impressive animal… if I only had the space and extra cash!

Rob Haneisen was there, managed to grab a sneak peek at his upcoming article on Black Milks in the May issue of Reptiles Magazine… haven’t seen it for sale yet in my local pet shop but I will be buying a copy… looked like a worth while read for all those with Black Milks or for those thinking about picking up one or two.. nice job Rob.

I went to the show just to look around, pick up some cypress mulch and perhaps buy one of those fake rock hides for my BM Jade… glad I didn’t buy one on ebay as I had intended… even the extra large or jumbo would have been tight quarters for her, she might have managed half her bulk in either one of them… looks like I’ll have to make my own…. I did however pick up some fake plants to spruce up her enclosure. After getting home I added the plants… along with a piece of wood recently given to me by a co-worker (the piece of wood was also accompanied by an Anole his son was no longer caring for, lol)… this morning I found Jade comfortably “hiding” in the log and plants, out in the open as is her want… I think the photo proves Rob’s claim that the BM may not only be the best milk out there but my own belief that Jade is the best BM out there … who says milks don't make good display animals... thanks again for her Nate.
