That's a great photo there Gerry!, and also it clearly depicts the white skin in between the scales too as opposed to other solid dark snakes like nigrita, melanistic thayeri, etc..that have dark skin. 
Yes, I have a copy of Rob's nice gaigeae article, and it was certainly a good read.
