I have a boa that bit me for the 1st time in 2yrs. (she did the 1st day I got her) b/c I wouldn't put her back in her enclosure. She gave me ample warning but I ignored it. Another incident I was babysitting a friends of mines 2 burms. As I was soaking the 13fter. she kept getting out of the tub & I would put her in. Finally as I put her in she made close mouth lounge & hit me enough force to be thankful she didn't bite. Oddly enough both times involved the smell of dog as I've always had/have dogs. Though my boa is used to smelling my current dogs of which I have 3 girls (I'm the only male indotherm in the house). Anyway your girlfriend or someone should always be near you once she/they hit 8-10ft. in case an incident does occur. My girlfriend actually owns one of the burms that I recieved b/c the owner no longer wanted it. Keep the number of people around is low as this lessen movement which is another way to get bit sudden moves startle snakes & the get defensive. Make sure you know where the haed is at all times so you know what your snake is telling you I've never been bit w/o warning unless someelse startled a snake they were holding (not me). | ||
