Gosh man, yes, I really do LOVE these Outer Banks bro. it seems that these sticticeps I have display more of a "pure" OBX phenotype too, in that they have far less of a complete chain pattern going down the sides, and only have cross-bars that only go across their dorsum, and no patterning on their sides at all. Some others I see out there look like they are probably a more northerly island-chain race that tend to have a bit of intergrade mainland getula blood in them.
From all that I have researched over the years, along with data from hardcore field herper aficionado's, the purest OBX forms are only found from about Buxton on south through Ocracoke Island and down to Cape Lookout. Above the Buxton area, they seem to be more of a mainland penotype.
In my opinion, these guys depict the "purest" Outer Banks phenotype perfectly, and I just really enjoy owning these special guys!..
