She's an ok eater, but after she laid last year she ate a few rats here and there then went on a hunger strike.....a long one. I didn't pair her up this year because she hasn't put on much weight since laying last summer. She started to go through the hormonal color change (her's is VERY noticable) a few weeks ago, but I didn't think much of it since she hadn't been paired up and she was thin. Now it look like she has 4 egg in her!! I read many stories about females retaining sperm until the next breeding season, but why would she go if she's thin. Granted they my be duds, ut they're very well defined. I guess I'll jus cross my figers and hop for the best! Chris Hall [ Hide Replies ]
