The fellow I got him from was a hard corps dendrobatid guy. It was the only reptile he had on his table and he was asking $125 for the animal. I offered $90 and he accepted saying that he was delighted just to get it off his table and to not have to take it home. He said he was selling it for a friend. I have been keeping snakes for 50 years including many ball pythons and I was satisfied that this snake was both healthy and had the disposition that I was looking for as a first snake for my young grandson. Since my intention was not to buy a breeder I didn't care what morph it was. I had my doubts about it being a mojave but I knew it was some kind of morph and almost certainly captive raised and I was perfectly happy to pay $90 for the animal. I saw every pastel in the show (both babies and adults) and none were going for $50. In my opinion anyone who raises a ball from a baby deserves $90.00. Heck, it probably ate $90 worth of rodents over it's lifetime! So, was the seller a con man and did I get ripped off? I report...you decide!
