I think I'm going to go ahead and do the whole thing indoors. We're in Central NC. I'm going to be converting what's technically a 3 car garage (it was originally a 2, with an addition on the backside) with a dirt floor in it, to a reptile facility. Splitting it up into a part for my snakes, an indoor/outdoor enclosure for my specs, and I'm thinking of turning one portion of it into an indoor monitor enclosure. This is all in the country, sitting on about 15 acres.
The addition on the backside was obviously built for tractors, because the ceiling is MUCH higher than the rest of the building. I had thought about using that portion for a monitor enclosure, only because it gets more sunlight throughout the day, and I had thought about putting some heavy duty windows in the ceiling. But I'm still not positive on that. Should I leave it with a 20 foot ceiling? Or build a lower ceiling? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
