Hi,

a good "starter" species is V.acanthurus, reaches around 2 feet or so total length, so relatively simple to house (in terms of enclosure size), compared to the "giants" (but still needs the same basic living conditions etc). They show all the behaviours of their large cousins, but not likely to cause you too much damage if you do get "caught"!

Do you have experience with other reptiles?
