Hi, it depends how long it`s been in captivity, and if kept under optimum conditions, I`d guess it`s just a few months old (juvenile).

As far as temperament, they are no different to any other varanid species; wary and defensive, the same as the Savannah monitor!

So many of the so-called "tame" savannahs (and others) are just undermetabolised...
