I would say that a 5 foot Savannah Monitor is nearly impossible. I have raised a couple to maturity and the largest reached 52 inches and weighed 21 pounds. His growth rate was rapid to 51 inches and then had dropped to almost zero a year before he died. I have not seen a larger Savannah Monitor.
