hmmmmmmmmm what have you been smoking, why would anyone tie up an ackie. Wild caught or not.
Ok, they loose toes because of dry conditions, in most cases, a screen top and sand substrate will cause that very quickly.
That would soon be followed by tail tip lose.
It appears when to dry, they shunt blood flow to the extremities. And they simply dry up and fall off.
With the toes, the first thing you notice is the toe pointing up, then you notice a swelling at the base, and its gone.
The toe lose is not so bad, but its a sign of chronic dehydration.
If I may, ackies are extremely tough, they can survive this, without toes and tail tips. But other species, may not, especiallly into types. Their kidneys fail before their toes fall off.
By the way, who the heck told that wild caught story, you should go punch them in the nose.
