Jimmy, the "RBR" refer to the red body rings. In kingsnakes the white rings/bands are counted, and in milks the red rings are counted, but only from the first one behind the head to the vent, or the last one that terminates just forward of the cloaca. This is because so many milks have black suffusion in the rings past the vent. ~per Kenneth Williams (Systematics).
