Do you mean superworms or super mealworms? Superworms and mealworms are 2 different species of worms, though they look the same. I have seen giant mealworms labeled as super mealworms. Mealworms have a way higher shell to gut ratio, and are not as good as superworms. Like for instance mealworms are not good for beardies and they do not do well if feed a lot of them, but they do fine on superworms. Now if any of this matters in the case of monitors I am not sure.
I have personally feed superworms to my young monitors occasionally with no bad effects. I have not raised enough monitors or feed often enough superworms to really be able to say from my own experience though.
