Hi all, Heres a photo taken this past June, of a wild-caught annulata female & her clutch of 7 eggs this season. She is from McMullen county, TX & was caught in the mid-90's as a hatchling by Jeff Adams, SA, TX. She was bred to a wild-caught male annulata that I personally caught in McMullen county, TX on 5-14-87 (also the same annulata I had on the Milksnakes of North America Poster by Broda/Merker) and as of this date, 7-8-11, he is still thriving in captivity here. He was 27+" long when I caught him in 1987, so he had to be 3-5 years old then, meaning he is still producing viable sperm in his old age of 25-30 years! My WC male has had an abcess/growth just above his vent now for the last 2 years or so, so this means hes probably on borrowed time, yet has lived an exceptional long time & I have held 2 of his sons & 3 daughters back to keep my colony secure for many generations. I will be looking for good homes for the neonates when they hatch later this summer. Feel free to contact me for details...Thanks, John
