If you cut they always have the remnants of the yolk (veins, membranes, gunk) on the umbilicus that they just suck up where the yolk is attached. Usually if they pip they've already absorbed most of it and usually stay in the egg until it's all absorbed. If you cut they may be more inclined to leave the egg before the final absorbtion out of fear. Chris | ||
