I had a collection back in the late 90's up through around 2002. The females in that collection would give me clutches in the high teens, 18-19. Sometimes I would get a clutch in the low 20's, 22-24. One clutch was 28.
With my current collection I'm getting clutches of 7-10 and in the mid teens, 15-17. My females are younger and smaller. When I established my Red line I picked up a couple of what I would refer to as monster females. Females that should have produced clutches in the high 20's. I wanted to outcross and produce enough so I could start a few projects at the same time. This failed for me. ALL of the females had egg binding issues and one was an egg eater. None of my females are larger than 300 grams at this time. One of them that I picked up from a local breeder was egg bound twice this year.
A little more info than you asked for but I believe in sharing information, good and bad.
