And, I've used tease feeding for my pair of baby rhino rats with success. All of the baby obsoletus I've kept (Texas and black rats) have been easy to start, but I have never kept Everglades rats before. I know that our local south Texas lindheimeri will take anoles as babies in the wild - maybe Everglades rats will too, and you might try scenting with anoles or geckos. I freeze a lizard for a week or so to kill any parasites it may be carrying, before using it for scenting... [ Hide Replies ]
