Posted by: DeuceBx at Thu Aug 18 09:39:41 2011 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by DeuceBx ] I have a 10 month old red tail in a 40 gallon critter cage, and I was using a Zilla lamp with a 100 watt bulb but switched to a Zilla Tropical 25 UVB flourescent bulb (which looks as if it has a shortage because the light keeps going out) for lighting and warmth during the day and a ceramic heat lamp for overnight heat. My question is: Why does the light keep going out, and are those fixtures sufficient for this enclosure. I also have a undertank heating pad "suitable for a 30-40 gal." My basking area is usually around 85 degrees and the cool side is about 75 during the day. At night the temps drop about 5 degrees on each side. | ||
