Stu, first where did you get the snakes?

Second and not very many people know this part. There are two lines of anery in the hobby. The old line is from Doughrty and thats the line that Terry Dunham and about every other person on earth had.

But,,,,,,,, back in about 2004 when I was in Daytona John Lambert told me that he had imported from the Check Republic a different kind of anery. It was a true anery where as we all know the other line (I will call it line A) is actually nothing more than a hypouerthristic (sp?).

John used that animal and produced a bunch of hets and double hets etc.....Side by side they ared different but not day and night.I don't think he ever really told people what he had cause we all just played it off as no real big deal and we all figured it was compatible anyway so the story kinda died out.

oh yeah, and if that wasn't enough the (line B) was also het for the line A.LOL....could get real confusing huh?

Well, 2 years ago a friend of mine back east bred together a pair of snows. One he had got from me and one he had just bought off the table at one of the Tampa shows and he couldn't remember who had even sold it to him.It was probably john or Bruce Skipper or Mike Falcon as all these guys had some of that Euro stock.

Anyway, he bred them together and then sold off the adults. When the babies hatched he got only 2 snows and the rest where all albino.Of coarse all those albinos are double het for both types of anery as well. The 2 snows had to be type A snows and they would be het for type B anery as well.

I tried and tried to track down the adults to get them back as I would like to see what a pure type B anery looked like as well as Type B ghosts etc.....I wasn't able to get them back and he even dumped all the babies cause he was mad.

Long story short I would bet the farm that your snow is het for TypeB anery and thats why you are seeing a ghost.Like Rusty said hat ghost is 100% het amel so thats a keeper.

The normals would be 100% het for hypo and both types of anery.
