It's been a long while since I've posted here, but nonetheless, I am excited to finally see this 4 year project come to fruition. (We couldn't wait until they shed to show them off.) This VPI snow litter was the result of a Triple het x Double het breeding. What is interesting about this pairing, is how we ended up with the parents. The sire was from a poss partho litter--I was not confident he would prove out (though Kyle was)--and the dam was a female I decided to hold back last year (I realized I needed more VPI breeding stock); otherwise, we would have missed on these little gems this year. The litter was perfect in everyway: perfect odds, perfect babies, the dam was textbook, and NO SWEET POTATOES!



I was so excited to see that these little babies have as much color as they do. I would have been so dissappointed if they looked like T neg snows (I like snows, but I wanted them to have the T pos appeal). I imagine these guys will look like white ghosts as they mature, and not muddy up. I love how VPI's brighten up as they get older and still retain enough color to keep you interested. I appreciate the subleties of my visual VPI's everytime I peek in their cages.
